1. Who We Are

RedX Research Ltd is a private limited company registered in England and Wales (Company Number: 16987541). Our registered office is at Office 7434BE, Unit 3AB, 34-35 Hatton Garden, London, EC1N 8DX. We organise and administer in-person academic research programmes for students, held at the Royal Institution, 21 Albemarle Street, London, W1S 4BS.

 

References to "RedX", "we", "us" and "our" in these terms refer to RedX Research Ltd. References to "you" refer to the student or, where the student is under 18, their parent or guardian acting on their behalf.

 

2. Acceptance of Terms

By booking a place on a RedX programme, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms. If you are booking on behalf of a student under 18, you confirm that you have the authority to do so and accept these terms on their behalf.

 

3. Programmes

RedX offers intensive in-person research programmes across a range of academic subjects for senior school students in Britain. Programmes are delivered by active faculty from leading US and UK universities including Harvard, MIT, Yale, UPenn, Stanford, Oxford and Cambridge. Programmes are held at the Royal Institution, Mayfair, London. Programme dates, content, duration and any other details are as stated at the time of booking. We reserve the right to make reasonable changes to programme content where necessary, including substituting professors (of comparable qualifications and standing) in the event of unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you of any material changes as soon as reasonably possible.

 

4. Eligibility

Programmes are designed for British senior school students typically aged 16 to 18, including those in Years 10 to 13. We reserve the right to decline or cancel a booking where a student does not meet the eligibility criteria stated at the time of booking. In all such cases, a full refund will be issued within 10 working days.

 

5. Fees and Payment

Programme fees are as stated at the time of booking. Full payment is required to secure a place on the programme. We reserve the right to cancel an unconfirmed booking where payment has not been received. All fees are stated in GBP and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

 

6. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation by you: If you cancel your booking 40 or more days before the programme start date, you are entitled to a full refund of fees paid.

 

Cancellations made fewer than 40 days before the programme start date are partially refundable, with 25% withheld. All cancellations must be made in writing to hello@redxresearch.com.

Cancellation by us: If we cancel a programme for any reason, you will receive a full refund of fees paid within 10 working days.

Programme changes: If we make a substantive or material change to the programme, we will inform you in writing (your email) and via telephone (your phone number as registered with us) at least 5 days before the programme starts. If you do not wish to proceed, you may cancel and receive a full refund provided you notify us before the classes officially begin.
 

7. Letters of Recommendation

Where a student performs well on the programme (Grade A or above), they will be eligible to receive a letter of recommendation from their professor. The decision to issue a letter of recommendation is made entirely at the professor's independent discretion that will take into account, among other factors, the every student's participation in class and overall commitment to their group, the programme and their independent research. RedX makes no guarantee that letters of recommendation will be issued. 
 

8. Certificates of Completion

Students who complete the programme will receive a certificate of completion issued by RedX Research. Certificates will indicate a performance assessment determined at the discretion of the programme professor. Performance assessments are based on the professor's independent academic evaluation and are final. Certificates do not constitute an academic qualification or credit and are not comparable to any national qualification framework.


9. Student Conduct

Students are expected to conduct themselves appropriately throughout the programme and to comply with the rules of the Royal Institution, and all laws as applicable in England and Wales. RedX reserves the right to remove a student from the programme without refund where their conduct is deemed disruptive, inappropriate or in breach of venue rules per the Royal Institution or is in breach of the laws of England and Wales.


10. Liability

RedX will take reasonable care in delivering its programmes. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, RedX is not liable for any loss, damage or disappointment arising from your participation in a programme, including but not limited to any impact on university applications or admissions outcomes. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.


11. Intellectual Property

All programme materials, content and resources provided by RedX, including written materials, presentations and research frameworks, are the intellectual property of RedX Research Ltd. You may use these materials for personal educational purposes only. You may not reproduce, distribute or publish any programme materials without our prior written consent.


12. Data Protection

We process your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, linked here. By booking a place on a programme, you confirm that you have read and understood our Privacy Policy.


13. Force Majeure

We will not be in breach of these terms or liable for any failure or delay in delivering a programme caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, venue closures, travel disruption or other events outside our reasonable control. In such circumstances we will use reasonable endeavours to reschedule the programme and will notify you as soon as practicable. Where it is not possible for us to set up an alternative arrangement, we will issue you a full refund in 10 working days. 
 

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force at the time of your booking will apply to that booking. We will notify you of any material changes before they take effect.
